What was the alias of the comic book character Mike Steven Donovan, who was, according to at least one source, "as much a staple in French comics as, say, The Avengers or The Flash here [in the USA]" during the 1960s. The series spawned out of the 1963 Fort Navajo comics series. It was created by Belgian scriptwriter Jean-Michel Charlier and French comics artist Jean "Mœbius" Giraud. Donovan was inspired by a particular kind of fruit-bearing bush while on the run from his Southern enemies.
